The Normandy medal is available exclusively to veterans who took an active role in the Normandy Campaign between the official campaign dates of 6 June to 20 August 1944 (or their next of kin). They would have landed in Normandy, served in the Royal Navy or Merchant navy, were seaborne in the channel or overflew Normandy with the RAAF, or served with an allied force during that time, which included members of R.C.A.F and the U.S Airforce.
